I had dozens of paper dolls while growing up. I used to lay them all out on my bedroom floor to mix & match their clothing and accessories in endless combinations. I never grew tired of this activity because I could never exhaust my resources! Variations were seemingly unlimited.
Now as an adult, whenever I buy a new item of clothing (or shoes...or jewelry..) I bring it home and try it on with pieces I already own to create as many different looks as possible. Like playing real-life paper dolls, I add and subtract various elements and attempt to discover all possible uses for my wardrobe.
